Our firm designed the Parish Life Center addition to the existing St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, originally constructed in the 1960's in Ottawa, Ohio. The addition provides a welcoming gathering space for parish and community use, including a large lobby, a flexible gathering and rental hall, a full commercial kitchen, a dedicated music room for the church choir, and meeting rooms. A key design challenge was thoughtfully integrating the new construction with the church's eclectic mid-century architecture, ensuring the addition complements the existing structure while meeting contemporary functional, accessibility, and code requirements.
